Our House System – Fostering Team Spirit and Leadership
The House System at Akchara Bala Bhavan (CBSE) is a
dynamic and integral part of school life. It fosters a
healthy spirit of competition, camaraderie, leadership,
and collective pride among students. Each student is
assigned to one of four houses upon admission, and
remains a part of that house throughout their time at
school. This system helps in nurturing team values and
provides a platform for every student to participate,
shine, and lead.
The four houses at Akchara Bala Bhavan are named after
elements closely tied to nature and our agrarian roots:
Objectives of the House System
- To promote holistic growth through group participation and leadership.
- To encourage friendly competition in sports, academics, arts, and service.
- To provide opportunities for leadership roles such as House Captains, Vice Captains, and Coordinators.
- To build interpersonal skills, discipline, responsibility, and confidence.
House-wise competitions are conducted regularly in debates, quizzes, sports, arts, and social events. Students earn points for their houses through participation and excellence. The overall best house is recognized annually with a House Trophy, celebrating teamwork and dedication.
