Uniform Code – A Symbol of Discipline and Unity
At Akchara Bala Bhavan (CBSE), we uphold the value of discipline, dignity, and equality through a standard uniform policy. The school uniform is a reflection of our identity and promotes a sense of belonging, equality, and focus among students. All students are expected to adhere strictly to the prescribed dress code without making any personal modifications.
For Boys (Grades I to V):
Boys from Grade I to Grade V are required to wear a cream-colored shirt paired with brown checked trousers. The shirt must be neatly tucked in, and students must wear a black plastic belt with a simple buckle. Footwear should be polished black shoes with plain brown socks unless otherwise instructed on activity days.
For Boys (Grades VI to IX):
Students in higher primary and secondary grades (VI to IX) must wear a cream-colored shirt along with plain dark brown pants. This smart and formal look promotes a responsible attitude in senior students and aligns with the school’s principles of neatness and uniformity.
For Girls (Grades I to V):
Girls in the primary section are expected to wear a cream-colored shirt with a brown checked pinafore. Hair must be neatly braided into two plaits or tied into two ponytails with black ribbons. Girls are permitted to wear only small earrings and a simple bindi; other ornaments or cosmetics are not allowed.
For Girls (Grades VI to IX):
Girls from Grade VI onwards must wear a cream-colored top paired with brown checked pants and a matching coat. This dignified attire reflects maturity while ensuring comfort and modesty. Hair must be styled appropriately with no fashion accessories or coloring permitted.
General Guidelines for All Students:
Uniforms must be clean, well-pressed, and worn with
pride every day. On designated sports or club activity
days, students may wear house T-shirts or other
prescribed attire. Nail polish, mehendi, bangles,
tattoos, and decorative clips are strictly prohibited.
Boys must maintain a clean haircut and are not allowed
to grow beards or moustaches. Girls must refrain from
using fancy pins, glitter, or long earrings.
We believe that wearing the uniform
correctly and consistently instills a sense of
discipline and unity among students and prepares them
to take pride in their school identity.
